Well now that I have a new MacBook Pro, I have to say that it isn’t a difficult operating system at all! It’s good for me to have different operating systems and this is the final addition to my little chattel of technology.
I am amazed at how quick Leopard functions, and how stellar the virtualization is with this operating system. It’s basically Unix/BSD so it isn’t difficult to use from a command line (Terminal Window), and I’m really liking it! Mac’s have always been more aesthetically appealing, so that was always something that interested me, and from a marketing standpoint, switching over to an Intel duo-core processor has - and will - likely dramatically increase their market base.
I discovered immediately upon the clean install that I could then install either a windows operating system or a different flavor of linux/unix without any problem at all. I also discovered that with the virtualization software I’ve installed, the speed and the ability of this system is so responsive that it is unlikely that I’ll run a strictly windows based system again
Well of course, this is my first day/night with this system, and as I have to write a blog everyday, I thought I’d take a break from my configuration and organization of all that I’m installing, and drop a simple note on the page.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful week ![]()
