It seems that a trip for fun with probably the person I trust most on earth will be coming in the very near future! We were on the phone last night discussing where and what, and happened upon the Mayan ruins…
now I did a little research today and it seems that we have multiple choices to view! Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras! Let’s start with Mexico!

There are also a few in El Salvador, however, I’m not familiar enough with the politics there to make that depth a search in that region. It depends on whether they view all white people as American, and thus targets. Anyway, now I have to work this all out… hmmmmm….
ok well i’ll keep you all posted on this, cuz it is going to take a lot of digging, and as we’ve already discussed this, I’m totally sure that she’ll be up for whatever random weirdness I can cultivate 
For those of you out there that say you’re free? I’ll tell you a little secret. Most people I’ve met that say they are? aren’t! and you know why? cuz i have so often said, “oi, lets to go <insert random 5 hour flight destination here that isn’t in our own country>” and what do i hear? woah! that’s short notice! I can’t just pick up and leave! I can’t do that! but wait I haven’t anything to wear!” and you know why that is folks? Cuz those people that say they’re “spontaneous” and “up for anything” are full of shit!
what they’re saying is “I’m up for anything that lets me stay in my comfort zone because I have unresolved issues, control issues, and don’t want to be outside my comfort zone without some time to prepare my brain, my spirit, my heart and my courage for it, in spite of all the rhetorical shit I feed anyone that will listen about not being afraid, and not being insecure and all the rest of it, because now that you just asked me to go do something in under 24 hours notice? I damn near shit my pants!!!”

and you know how i know that? cuz 99.5% of the people that i have met in my life, say all that crap when i say, hey, lets go <insert random destination outside of where we are now, in another country here> stuff”

I’m 42, and even when i was 16 those around me were scared to death… and then there is me… i haven’t ever bought a map, or thought that i needed one, when there are perfectly good people everywhere! I have GPS, and a mouth that God gave me that can say, “um, excuse me, do you have any clue where the hell i am rigth now and where is such and such?” cuz really folks… living without fear rhetorically, is a lot more effort than to just live life that way
God created all time and space in 6 days and chilled on the 7th… i think i can manage a weekend trip to a mayan ruin
